In 1978, Prof. Rajinder S. Dhillon began a quiet mission from New Delhi: to put well-crafted, affordable academic books into the hands of Indian students. He believed that quality educational material should not be a luxury — and over the following decades, the Dhillon Group of Publications became one of India's most trusted names in English language learning and competitive exam preparation.

Prof. Dhillon was not just a publisher — he was a voice for the entire industry. As Convener of national conferences, participant in anti-piracy forums, and a thought leader at the Federation of Educational Publishers in India (FEPI), he helped shape the standards that governed academic publishing in India. His work was recognised with the FEPI Award for Best Educational Published Books eight times from 1998 onwards, a Lifetime Achievement Award from FEPI in 2011, and honours for his outstanding writing and contributions to educational journalism.
